Brand Story

Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised. The Trinidad brand is aimed above all at Habanos lovers looking for absolute quality with an exclusive character.

Product Description

Initially, there was only one Trinidad size: the Fundadore. In 2003, three other sizes - Reyes, Coloniales and Robusto Extra (later discontinued) - were added to the range. At the same time, the Trinidad book and ring were updated in recognition of the brand's prestige. For several years, Trinidad was manufactured at El Laguito, Cohiba's factory, where its blend of tripe leaves and sub-cape from the Vuelta Abajo region was developed, with its unique fragrance and aroma and medium flavor. At the end of 2004, demand in Trinidad outstripped El Laguito's production capacity, and it was decided to transfer the manufacture of all the brand's formats to Pinar del Rio City. This is where Trinidad is made today, close to the famous Vuelta Abajo plantations.
