Collection: H.Upmann

Hermann Upmann, a German banker, became passionate about Habanos upon his arrival in Havana in 1840. His passion was such that, in addition to running his bank, he founded his own cigar factory in 1844. While his bank went bankrupt in the early 1920s, his cigars—known for their elegant, medium-bodied aromatic profile—have continued to thrive.

During the 19th century, the brand won no fewer than eleven gold medals at various international exhibitions. Replicas of these medals, along with Hermann Upmann’s personal signature, still decorate the brand’s cigar boxes.

The Magnum line is especially well-known within the medium-mild Habanos category. The traditional Magnum 46 was joined in 2008 by the Magnum 50. Other key vitolas in the brand include the Sir Winston, the Connoisseur No. 1, and among the smaller vitolas, the Coronas Junior and the Half Coronas, which was introduced in 2011.

The H. Upmann range is composed exclusively of vitolas made "Totalmente a Mano" — entirely by hand.
