Collection: Montecristo

Montecristo is, without a doubt, the most famous and universally appreciated Habanos brand. The brand owes its name to the hero of Alexandre Dumas’ famous novel The Count of Monte Cristo, a favorite reading of the torcedores (cigar rollers) at the Havana factory where the brand was created in 1935.

Initially, the Montecristo range was limited to five vitolas, simply identified by numbers from 1 to 5. Over the years, and in order to better satisfy the desires of the most demanding enthusiasts, other sizes were introduced — from the majestic Montecristo A to the delicate little Joyitas and the splendid ‘Edmundo’.

The Montecristo ligada (blend), particularly well-balanced, is made exclusively from leaves carefully selected and grown in the Vuelta Abajo region, home to the world’s finest tobacco. Its refined aromas and its distinctive, fairly powerful taste appeal to both newcomers and seasoned aficionados alike.
