Collection: Cuaba

It is no coincidence that the brand was launched in November 1996 in England. Cuaba was officially born out of a challenge taken on by the leaders of Habanos S.A.—to revive the tradition of figurados, a cigar shape that was highly popular among the British in the 19th century.

The task of training the first professionals in this very specific technique was entrusted to Juan Carlos Izquierdo González, who had worked as a torcedor for forty-eight years at Romeo y Julieta. Today, within the Romeo y Julieta factory, a dedicated school trains torcedores exclusively for making Cuaba cigars.
