This brand bears the name of the man who is considered in Cuba to be the best veguero (tobacco grower): Don Alejandro Robaina. He inherited a small 18-hectare estate in San Luis, which the state recently expanded by granting Don Alejandro an additional ten hectares.

A paradoxical situation: Cuba wanted to pay tribute to private vegueros, who form the backbone of the country's tobacco production.

The Robaina family, specialized in growing wrapper leaves under tapados (shade-grown methods), achieves unique results. More than 70% of their production is approved for export, whereas most farms rarely exceed 20 or 30%. Don Alejandro alone provides wrappers for over one million Habanos!
