Collection: José L. Piedra

José L. Piedra is a very distinctive brand. Unlike most Habanos, the leaves used in its vitolas come exclusively from the Vuelta Arriba region.

Originally from Asturias in Spain, the Piedra family arrived in Cuba in the 1880s. They settled near the city of Santa Clara, at the heart of Vuelta Arriba, where tobacco cultivation began as early as the 16th century.

It was José Lamadrid Piedra, of the second generation, who created and developed the brand as we know it today.

José L. Piedra vitolas are all Totally handmade (Totalmente a Mano), with short filler (Tripa Corta).
