Brand Story

San Cristóbal de la Habana was the first name given to Havana, when it was founded in 1519. Both in honour of Christopher Columbus (hence San Cristobal) and in reference to the name the Indians gave to the site (La Habana).
The San Cristóbal de la Habana brand was launched in 1999, at the dawn of the new millennium, as a tribute to the long history of the Cuban capital. All the brand's vitolas are hand-crafted with long guts.

The San Cristobal de la Habana La Fuerza is named after the fortress "Castillo de la Real Fuerza" on the western side of Havana’s harbor.
