In 1882, Antonio Allones, drawing on his 30 years of experience in the Habano industry, created a new brand which he decided to specialize in high-end Habanos — expensive and of great quality. Confident in his vision and without false modesty, he named it El Rey del Mundo (The King of the World). His challenge proved to be a winning one. Its success continues thanks to a well-chosen range of vitolas, renowned among aficionados for their moderate strength and rich aromatic profile. All the brand’s vitolas are made from tobacco grown in the Vuelta Abajo region and are Totalmente a Mano, Tripa Larga (entirely handmade, long filler).

Habanos, S.A. presented the new El Rey del Mundo Royal Series vitola to the world for the first time on December 11, 2023, in Cyprus. The new vitola was unveiled by Habanos’ exclusive distributor, Phoenicia T.A.A. Cyprus, in the presence of over 450 guests. The Royal Series cigar features a generous length of 155 mm and a ring gauge of 50. These dimensions pay homage to its royal origins and offer an intense, long-lasting smoking experience. It comes in a beautifully lacquered box containing 20 cigars, each made "Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga" after a careful selection of filler, binder, and wrapper tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo plantations in the Pinar del Río region of Cuba, where the world’s finest tobacco is grown.
