A researcher in R&D for 47 years and an engineer by training, Rod has always been driven to solve problems. His passion for cigars often brought one recurring frustration: a tight draw, especially with his favorite Montecristo No. 2 with its tapered end. Preferring a lighter draw, he found no effective tool on the market.
This quest led to the creation of the PerfecDraw, his signature accessory and the starting point of a full range of premium cigar tools.
